Group Classes at Whitespace gallery, Edinburgh

I have over 15 years experience of teaching art to students of all ages and levels. I believe that, given the space, the time, and some suggestions regarding ideas, technique and materials, you are capable of creating great artwork.

Like many things in life, sometimes the hardest thing is to start. Once you get into a regular habit of drawing/painting, things naturally happen which surprise and inspire. My aim is to help people find their own personal direction and enjoy themselves in the process.

At the moment I am offering classes on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm at the lovely Whitespace gallery in Newington. The class size is small (Max 8 students) and it’s a fun and friendly atmosphere. Each month we work on something a bit different, but we always start with the basics of drawing. Over the four weeks we explore different approaches to the subject and experiment with different materials. Often we will take a particular artists work as inspiration for a class, and there are demos, and plenty of constructive feedback.
